The headline: two neighborhood-scale hearings. First, Precise Plan No. 583: VT Design Specialties, Inc. wants to tear down an 816-square-foot former nursery and gift shop at 9080 Talbert Avenue and build a ±2,980-square-foot, single-story dental office for Chew Chew Dental, with a 14-stall parking lot and an 8-foot wall shielding the homes to the south. Second, Conditional Use Permit No. 1945: Que Vida Taqueria at 18517 Brookhurst Street, which has operated for "a little over a year" on a beer-and-wine permit, asks to be classified as a Large Format Restaurant and to upgrade to a Type 47 "On-Sale – Eating Place" full liquor license for its dining room and patio. Staff recommends approval of both, with conditions.

🏘️ Development & zoning: a dental office on Talbert Avenue

🍽️ Alcohol & restaurants: a full liquor license at Callens Corner
