Tustin Planning Commission: a walking tour instead of a regular meeting
The Tustin Planning Commission’s regular meeting of Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber, 300 Centennial Way, “has been cancelled,” according to a notice posted by the city on October 8, 2026. In its place, the commission is scheduled to hold a special meeting the same evening: “a walking tour of The Colonnade Apartments at The Market Place, an Irvine Company property.”

🚶 The walking tour
- When and where. Per the notice, the special meeting “will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.” and “will begin at the apartment’s leasing office, 3000 Marketplace, Irvine, CA” — in Irvine, rather than in the Council Chamber.
- Parking. The notice says “free parking for the Special Meeting is available in the nearby shopping center that contains Regal Edwards Theater, Handel’s Ice Cream, Mendocino Farms, and Black Dot Coffee.”
- What is on the agenda. The posted agenda link opens this notice, which lists no business items and no action for the commission to take, and does not say why the commission is touring the property. For more information on the walking tour agenda, the notice points to the city’s Meetings & Agendas page.
The notice is signed by Alexa Smittle, Community Development Director.
